The book which is my first of this genre has been fascinating writing because history is very interesting. The main characters are fictitious but it is written with a background of the Crimean war in the mid eighteeen hundreds.
My secondbook has just been published, 'The Lost Found'. It is set in the First World War and is the story of a woman whose son brings home a fiend who has just come from Belgium. He is thin, obviously undernourished and sad. She sets out to find out about him, in the meantime bringing him into their family.
Florence Nightingale had a carriage but it overturned one day when she was in it so she was given a stable one which was for her private use and as an ambulance.
